O God, your light heralds the beginning of a new day. In thanksgiving for your faithfulness and constancy, we bring these prayers before you and say, O God, keep us in your love.
Touch our calloused hearts, so that we treat the unloved in our midst as persons for whom your Love was made Incarnate. O God, keep us in your love.
In your love, O God, redeem and remake families broken apart by human selfishness. O God, keep us in your love.
Look to those who through long habit find forgiveness hard to accept; break their bondage and set them free. O God, keep us in your love.
Give peace to the world and fulfillment to all its dead and dying. O God, keep us in your love.
